We took the car as far as we could above the wine village of Gigondas before the road met the impassable Dentelles de Montmirail. Waking a little farther up the old shepherds track it opened up to this spectacular view. The peaks are named because of the lace like structure but there is nothing soft about them - they are imposing. Heading back through Gigondas we made our way around the peaks along one of our favourite routes in Provence that lead up to the small village of Suzette. This gives the view from the other side as well as wonderful vistas over to Ventoux. Hope you make it one day.
