LOVE IN A RELATIONSHIP (Part 2)
Jeremiah 17:9 - The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? (NIV)

A relationship involves loving and associating with people who share the same interests as you. There are benefits when love is the foundation of a friendship, as found in Mark 2:1-12. Here, a paralysed man had friends who loved him and went as far as breaking the roofs for him to get healing. I decree in Jesus' name that in this month of August, heaven shall put your love in the hearts of your helpers, and they shall assist you!
On the other hand, you need discernment because there may be unfriendly friends who pretend to love you but are haters. As seen in our Bible reading, just as the heart of man is evil and deceptive, so can earthly love be manipulative. If outward love alone was enough to get into God's good books, Judas would be celebrated today.
"His words are as smooth as butter, but in his heart is war. His words are as soothing as lotion, but underneath are daggers!" (Psalms 55:21)
Beloved, ordinary love is not enough for a relationship because the expression of love does not necessarily justify the genuineness of the heart. Instead, it is when you possess the Holy Spirit and respond to Him that you manifest the fruits of the Spirit, which include love. How deep and real is your love for God, your spouse, children, and colleagues? Think and ask God to help you as you start a new month!

1. Father, in this new month, please establish me in a friendship that will glorify You.
2. Father, as a Church, family, nation, and individual, please plant Your love in our hearts!
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Give God praise for the year hitherto and the days and months ahead.
2. Any power planning to ridicule my star, scatter! Therefore, Father, please secure my rightful position.
3. Anything attracting shame and oppression to my life, dry up!
