Tips to Improve Your Chakras
1st Chakra (root, tailbone)
Make peace with your family of origin.
Release inherited fears from ancestors who may have been oppressed.
Learn to give and receive within a supportive community.
You belong; you have a place; you have a right to be here.
Engage in fun exercise, movement, yoga, bodywork, massage, warm baths.
Enjoy your bodily senses of touching, smelling, tasting.
Walk in Nature and feel/sense/imagine Earth Energy coming up into your feet.
Sit against a tree trunk and feel into its roots. Or hug a tree for a while.
Explore earthiness – get into soil and plants.
Walk Barefoot on the Earth. Feel its energy.
Get organized in your home; finish practical chores.
Spend only within your means.
Open to your feelings, instinct, intuition, spontaneity.
Let Life in – let Life affect you.
Use a daily Grounding Practice which may include "roots" into the earth.

2nd chakra (sacrum, hips, and spleen - under left ribs)
Dance, move your hips, or use yoga stretches to open hips.
Celebrate your sacred sexuality and the pleasures of life.
You don't have to work to exhaustion before you play.
Eat dessert first sometimes. Go for what you desire.
Feel your feelings – don't tamp them down.
Explore the sensuality of touch, taste, smell.
Embrace your flexibility, adaptability.
Allow the natural rhythms of your body, the highs and lows throughout the day.
Release old pain, shame, stress, and toxins.
Live a balance of give-and-take, active and passive.
Play like a kindergartner each day – sing, dance, color. Blow bubbles!
Take up a new-to-you form of creativity – learn to play harmonica.
Open up to curiosity and fun. What would be fun for you?

3rd Chakra (abdomen or solar plexus)
Much in the world is "hard to digest," and we push against it. Let go.
What bugs you? Can you release your resistance against it?
Can you allow "what-is" to be as it is? (Byron Katie – the work)
Improve your physical digestion – resolve leaky gut, feed your microbiota gut flora
Get a healthy colon – eliminate daily, even 3 times a day.
Strengthen your core with Foundation Training, sit-ups, Pilates.
Daily walking helps the whole digestive system.
Bring balance to your ego and take your rightful place.
Be self-empowered but not overpowering to others. Watch the boundaries.
Go for relaxation. Release stress. Meditate a minute a day.
Ginger, mint, or chamomile in tea or these 3 topical essential oils can help 3rd chakra.
Appreciate how capable and proficient you already are, in so many ways.

4th Chakra (heart)
The vowel sound "ay" spoken aloud with each exhale, like a chant, strengthens your heart chakra.

The heart is not built to hold onto stuff, but to circulate the blood and emotions. Allow difficult emotions to simply rise and fall as natural waves of energy. Breathe, and they dissipate.
Go for full self-acceptance and self love with this mirror practice.
Strengthen your gratitude practice.
Engage in forgiveness, especially toward family / Align your relationships.
Shore up your healthy boundaries.
Try open-chest back-arching yoga poses.

Talk with your inner child.
Hydrate well, drink more (salt) water – it clears your throat, makes your cells happy.
Listen to healing sounds and inspiring music.
Sing out loud, chant, tone your chakras with your voice.
Aromatherapy – jasmine and sandalwood are good for throat chakra.
Engage in fun creativity without any goal.

6th Chakra (forehead, third eye)
Be Grounded to the earth and fully Present to the moment.
Daily Meditation to clear your screen, see the Light in your inner world.
Use guided visualizations to increase imagery and imagination.
Art therapy, creative fun, photography.
Explore your dreams. Write down your dream as soon as you awaken.
Place your fingertip between your eyebrows. Tune in to sensations, colors, textures at that spot. Your attention magnifies the energy there.
If busy-mind distracts or deludes you, do a "reset" – hold forehead and back of head – front and back of 6th chakra – for a minute.
Tap the forehead gently and bring to mind somebody you want to "see" from afar.
Ajna meditation: eyes closed, direct your gaze up to your 3rd eye. You may see colors, images.
As you prepare to sleep, try the Ajna meditation, gazing up into your 3rd eye, and let it be a tunnel into dreamland.

7th Chakra (crown, top of the head)
Daily Meditation – quiet the incessant mind.
Try a broad perspective, like looking down from a jet. Troubles shrink to nothing, and you allow the mess to be as it is.
Imagine you are immensely bigger than your tiny body.
Find evidence that the Universe has been supporting you well so far.
If you can't believe in a higher power, then get in touch (talk aloud) with a departed friend, relative, or pet. Gain some connection with the next realm.
Indulge yourself in talking with angels, or any heavenly figures.
Enjoy whatever style of Spirituality you prefer.

Advanced 7th Chakra:
Meditate into deep peace and surrender so much that your crown tingles.
After months of meditation, you may have longer periods of silent stillness. Speechless expansive energy through the crown. No words can express it.
Experiment with Response Ability – the ability to respond, in the moment, to whatever or whomever comes up.
Inspired action, fully appropriate now, may arise when we are wholly Present and aligned with our Divine Connection.
