Patricia F. Engelhardt, PhD, organizational psychologist, independent consultant, and psychological researcher and writer, has been recognized by Marquis Who's Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of psychology.
Dr. Engelhardt has cultivated a fulfilling career in the health care industry, leveraging nearly five decades of experience. Specializing in psychology and mental health care, she has served as an independent psychological researcher and writer since 1974. Likewise, she has operated as an organizational psychologist and independent consultant since 2020. A decorated military veteran as well, Dr. Engelhardt honorably served in the United States Air Force from 1974 to 1992, working as a central command staff officer during that time.
In her other previous professional endeavors, Dr. Engelhardt was a clinical mental health counselor and psychotherapist for the Mental Health Center of Florida between 2020 and 2021. Likewise, she operated as a management and program analyst for the United States Department of Defense from 2017 to 2021. Well-regarded for her work throughout the state of Florida, she was also the statewide low income and rural outreach and public information specialist for the Department of Elder Affairs in Florida between 2010 and 2011. At the onset of her professional career, Dr. Engelhardt excelled as the president and chief executive officer of her own company, Engelhardt Productions, from 1992 to 1998.
Adjacent to her primary pursuits, Dr. Engelhardt is also well-regarded for her dedication to civic advocacy. To wit, she is the founder of the Coalition of Forces for Veterans, Connecting the Red, White, and Blue, which she began in 2016. Additionally, she previously served as a founding member of the board of directors for The Tender Loving Care Complex Inc. from 1995 to 2010. As part of her vocational journey, Dr. Engelhardt also pursued a higher education, ultimately achieving a PhD in industrial and organizational psychology at Capella University in 2016. In addition to her academic credentials, she has also been a registered mental health counselor, as recognized by the Florida Department of Health, since 2005.
To commemorate her accomplishments, Dr. Engelhardt has been honored with numerous accolades throughout her career, including an Air Force Commendation Medal, a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and a Letter of Appreciation from Buckingham Palace. In light of her fulfilling career, she has largely attributed her success to her faith. Accounting for her achievements, she is particularly proud to have earned her doctoral degree, in addition to creating the military veteran initiative to link the U.S. Department of Defense and the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychologists. In the coming years, Dr. Engelhardt hopes to continue writing and serving as a positive influence for future generations.
