LESSONS FROM THE SAMARITAN
Luke 17:11-19 (16) - He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan. (NIV)

One of the significant highlights of today's Bible reading is that the only leper that returned to give thanks after being healed by Christ was a foreigner. The other nine, who were likely to be Jews, never came back to appreciate their healer.
The Bible emphasises that the one leper was a Samaritan. This is because the Jews and Samaritans were historically enemies and wouldn't get along with each other. But this cleansed man looked beyond the rivalry and deemed it important to return to thank Jesus, who was Jewish. The Samaritan's gesture shows that he is spiritually mature and has a grateful heart, which made him perfectly healed.
Beloved, if you will experience perfect breakthroughs, you must put all manner of bad attitudes or negative experiences aside to appreciate God or whoever is due to be honoured.
Never allow overfamiliarity to rob you of your divine blessings and human help. The nine lepers lost the opportunity to be made whole because they became too familiar with Jesus. Beware of getting too familiar with God, His Holy Spirit, or His ministers. Take one step at a time and remain sensitive like the Samaritan, so you can enjoy wholeness.
This morning, you will think about the things you took for granted and go back to thank God for them. By doing these, you will receive the seal of perfection in your blessings. Go ahead and thank the Lord.

Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, this year, please give me:
1. The strength to work hard.
2. The power to win souls and ideas to make wealth.
3. Favour for rapid promotion and enlargement.
4. Accuracy to do the right things at the perfect time.
