(Again, could have used a nicer bowl.)

Mr. Big Food improvised this. We scored some fresh pearl onions at the store and prepped them according to package directions. Boil in water for 30-60 seconds. Move to cold water bath. Cut root end off and pinch onion from skins. Could also use thawed frozen onions.
Pour BBQ sauce over and serve.
BARBECUE SAUCE V
Yield: about 4 cups
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 medium onion, minced fine
2 Tbsp salad oil
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp dry mustard
½ tsp sugar
2 bay leaves
¼ tsp dried marjoram
29-oz can tomatoes, put through blender or sieve
¼ C vinegar
½ tsp celery salt
Dash Tabasco (optional)
Cook garlic and onion in oil for about 5 minutes, add chili powder, dry mustard, sugar, bay leaves, marjoram, blended or sieved tomatoes, vinegar, celery salt, and Tabasco, and simmer gently, stirring frequently, about 40 minutes or until sauce is thick. Remove bay leaves and store in refrigerator until needed.
