GOD IS ALWAYS THERE
Lamentations 2:18-20 (18A) - Let your heart cry out to the Lord. (NLV)
The world lives in fear and unbelief, yet you must choose to trust God in every situation. Though people and the government may rise against you, you should put your confidence in the Lord. There is a tempest on the way, so the future looks bleak. But in God, you put your faith. You may be perplexed and driven on every side, but you must not be discouraged. Friends and family may have gone, but still, God is with you. The medics may have lost hope concerning your health, but there is a God who can heal you permanently.
Though your habits might have scared off your neighbours, there is a sure friend who sticks closer than a brother. They have even termed you as barren and said, "Can any good thing come out of his/her life?" Nevertheless, God says, "Your barns shall be filled with abundant fruit." The world may be filled with more negatives than positives. However, there is joy and peace in the Lord.
Peradventure you are in a state of confusion and can't understand how your future will turn out. The Lord knows about your situation, and He is working things out for your good. Always remember that only those who wait on God will have their strength renewed. As seen in today's Bible reading, I encourage you to cry out to God continually in prayer. He is nearer to you than you think to perfect all that concerns you.
PRAYER
Hymn: Jesus Saves – Priscilla J. Owens (1882)
1. Father, the road is narrow. Please walk with me and actualise Your promises in my life (pour out your mind to the Father).
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Any strange fire set up to destroy everything I have worked for.Be quenched!
2. Holy Spirit, fortify me and help me to walk in the knowledge of Your will.
3. Any power assisting the enemy in attacking me, my family and the Church. Scatter by fire!
4. In any way the stars, moon, and sun are working against me. Father, please intervene to redeem me.
