I heard years ago that there was a Castle in Scotland that Inspired Dracula's Castle but at that point I always thought it was in Romania. Recently I started seeing videos on Instagram and they mentioned this castle and I had to check it out.
A friend who loves seeing Scotland as much as me also sent another castle, and I noticed they were close to each other so I thought lets make a day out and check both.
Slains Castle, also known as New Slains Castle to distinguish it from the nearby Old Slains Castle, is a ruined castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It overlooks the North Sea from its cliff-top site 1 kilometre east of Cruden Bay. We both set off from Glasgow and arrived 3 hours later, and we were both blown away at the ruins and also the views around the castle.
