If YOU had to choose one airplane that changed the concept of travel more than any other - made transcontinental travel possible in hours - not weeks or months, or less than one hundred years before a year or longer .- the DC-3 "got the party started". . .
Now today - on the average day /average hour there are on the average 40,000 people in the air - 24 / 7 365 days a year . . .

Never had the pleasure of flying on a DC-3 but I flew multiple times on Fairchild F-27's ( and if you think about it is just a modern DC-3 ) with Ozark Airlines - which those trips are worth another post - might put that one together - Ozark Airlines was a "different" experience, a real shoestring operation . . .
