PRAY FOR US!

1 Thessalonians 5:25 - Brothers and sisters, pray for us. (NIV)

We often think that our family, neighbours, friends, leaders, and ministers are superhumans and that they don't need prayers. If Jesus could pray for Peter to keep him from falling, we must all pray for one another (Luke 22:31–32). Prayer can change the reality of things, and there is no limit to where the prayers of the righteous can reach. In Acts 12:1-19, after Herod had executed James, he attempted to kill Peter. But the church rose to pray, and he was rescued.

A pastor once held a crusade in a village known for atrocities. On the fourth day of the crusade, he didn't arrive at the venue on time. So, the people were worried, and 21 of them gathered to intercede. Meanwhile, a terrorist group had ambushed the pastor, but they couldn't capture him because they saw 21 angels with swords surrounding him. This confession was made by one of the terrorists after he became born again through this encounter.

Beloved, prayer works, and all the more reason we should keep watch for one another, including the people in authority (1 Timothy 2:1-2). No wonder in today's Bible reading, Apostle Paul says, "Pray for us", because there is power in intercessory prayer. I encourage you to pray on behalf of people whenever you feel a burden for them. Your intercession will go a long way towards activating their deliverance.

PRAYER

Hymn: Sweet Hour of Prayer — William W. Walford (1845)

1. Father, just as you rescued Peter, please save me, our pastors, leaders, and neighbours from every spiritual and physical challenge (Mention).

(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)

1. Spend quality time praying in the Holy Ghost. Ye shall receive fresh fire (power)!

2. Intercede for the known and unknown people, families, and the church.

"Learn to stand in the gap in prayer for others. By so doing, your situation shall not be a hard case!"
