After I write my current fantasy series, I will be writing a sequel series that revolves around the emperor's two eldest sons. In terms of their relationship, I will be drawing inspiration from the brotherly bond that Moses and Ramses shared in Prince of Egypt. In their youth, Moses was the younger brother while Ramses was the older brother. That means that Ramses was the heir to the throne while Moses was the spare. As such, Ramses was the one Pharaoh Seti I was grooming to become the next ruler of Egypt while Moses did not have to carry the burden of being an heir apparent. Being the younger brother, Moses was the troublemaker of the two and often inadvertently gets Ramses in trouble as well. Even so, Moses defended his adoptive brother and served as the source of Ramses's emotional support. Because Moses supported him and stood up for him, Ramses became extremely emotionally dependent on his younger brother. This resulted in Moses becoming a positive balancing influence for Ramses. Whenever Ramses was emotionally hurt, Moses was the person he could talk to. Sadly, despite their love for one another, their brotherly bond was ultimately destroyed when fate had other plans for them. I cannot help but wonder what would happen if Moses and Ramses stayed together and maintained their brotherly bond. It is that scenario I will be drawing inspiration from for my later fantasy books.
