Jane and I went to Hoi An for dinner tonight. There were 2 of us (obviously) and they were busy, so even though I'd booked, we were stuck in a corner.
The service was excellent to start with, but once our meals were delivered (really quickly), and the meals had been checked on, the service vanished. We were overlooked and forgotten about. There was a table of 8 people right beside us - so close we could have involved ourselves in their conversations - they were quite loud.
So we ate and left.
I chose the Thai Salad which was good, but would have been great if there had been some spice in it. Jane chose the Vietnamese Fish Salad and hers had a lot more spice in it.
To be fair, there was a lot of chicken in it, and the menu did mention fish sauce which can be quite tangy, but was missing in action. Still it was pleasant enough.
We left to find coffee somewhere else.
