Happy November! There's a new kind of chill in the air, the leaves are finally starting to change color, while others have fell to the ground. The scent of pumpkin spice lingers through stores and I am here for it. From super soft throw blankets and Hallmark Christmas movies to backyard bonfires get ready to indulge in the cozier side of life.

1. Out with the spooky and in with the gorgeous gourds. It's time to decorate for fall, I just got a new welcome mat and wreath to adorn my porch.

2. Light some autumn scented candles. I am a big fan of Kalamazoo Candle Company's Apple Harvest, Pumpkin Patch and Mulled Cider.

3. Head over to Pinterest and discover a new soup recipe.

4. Don't to a local food bank and or volunteer at a soup kitchen.

5. In honor of National Doughnut Day head to a local cider mill and indulge a little in donuts and cider.

6. Today is National Play Outside Day. I'll be hitting the trails for a brisk hike. Whether you go for a walk, hike, bike, or just rake leaves enjoy some time playing outside today.

7. Seasonal depression get you down? Why not rent a cabin in the woods so you have something to look forward to during the wintery months.

8. Polish your nails a moody color.

9. Have a backyard bonfire. Bonus points if you add a color pack to the fire to create a unicorn fire. I love Solo Stove Color Packs.

10. Make a fancy charcuterie board to enjoy while watching Hallmark Christmas movies.

11. Buy some Christmas cards and send out some snail mail to friends and family.

12. Indulge in some hot chocolate. Feeling ambitious? Make some hot chocolate bombs with my simple and fool proof tutorial.

13. In a world that could use a little more kindness celebrate World Kindness Day by going out of your way to do some nice things for friends, family and strangers. Pay it forward in the Starbucks lane, compliment someone, make something sweet for a neighbor. Whatever you do your kindness will be appreciated.

14. Sign up for a 5k. I love doing the Turkey Trot in Detroit on Thanksgiving.

15. Have a cozy movie night in.

16. Bake homemade bread.

17. It's National Take a Hike Day. You definitely don't have to tell me twice. You can find me among the trees, and hopefully you'll be among them as well.

20. Happy National Peanut Butter Fudge Day. My Great Grandma used to make the best peanut butter fudge for the family at Christmas time and I think this year I will be bringing back that tradition in her honor. Make and indulge in some peanut butter fudge today.

21. Make an epic brunch board filled with pancakes, bagels, waffles, fresh fruit and all the fixings.

22. Grab carryout from your favorite local restaurant.

23. Try out a new workout class. I am going to check out hot yoga.

24. Bake a pie. My neighbor in Pittsburgh taught me how to make the best pies and this year I will be making mini versions of pumpkin, peanut butter and coconut pies.

25. Happy Thanksgiving! Don't forget to let those you love know how grateful you are for them.

26. Find out if any craft shows are taking place near you and support local artists.

27. I am a huge fan of shopping small, especially when it comes to the holidays. In honor of Small Business Saturday head out and shop small with your favorite local retailers.

28. Create a winter or Christmas themed wreath.

29. Send out holiday cards to ensure they reach everyone in time.

30. Put up some outdoor lights for Christmas.
