Hello all!
If you followed my Instagram a few weeks ago, you probably saw that I was at Disney World for one of my best childhood friend's bachelorette parties! We really only had one full day at Disney to enjoy two parks (park hopping is limited during COVID, so you can only park hop after 2pm), but we definitely made the most of it! Our main spots were Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Disney Springs.
It was actually my first time back at Disney World since my high school senior year spring break trip in 2013, so this was long overdue. After spending time there, it made me really want to go back and visit for a few more days. I'd love to return for some of my favorites - Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. I was also so incredibly grateful we were able to go to Disney during the 50th anniversary celebrations - this was on my bucket list for a few years now!
The group overall was a very chill crowd - we wanted to check out the Food & Wine Festival happening at Epcot, embrace the 50th anniversary celebrations, and go on some low key rides (we're not big roller coaster people). I'm excited to share how we did our chill, but productive day at Disney!
Day 1: Disney Springs
I arrived in the late afternoon to our hotel, the All Stars Resort. Normally my family has stayed in Disney at the Swan or Dolphin hotels, so it was fun to see the different options. There's a free bus service that takes you right from the resort to any of the parks, so it's incredibly convenient!
I took the bus to Disney springs, where I met up with the rest of the group and we strolled around the area. There are a ton of fun shops, including the Lego store with incredible sculptures, and the official Disney Store where you can snag a ton of really cool merch - especially 50th anniversary swag!
For dinner, we ate at X, which had delicious Mexican food!
Day 2: Hollywood Studios and Epcot
We woke up bright and early to head to Hollywood Studios. Here's our schedule:
- Beeline for Joffrey's Coffee for some lattes and donuts - they also have fun seasonal drinks!
- Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway - SUCH a cute ride that was the perfect way to kick off our time at Disney! It's done in the new-vintage style.
