Good morning! Today's first kratom dose of the day is.....
2 teaspoons of Green Bali and 2 teaspoons of White Maeng Da kratom.
Breakfast was half a peanut butter sandwich with a spare handful of Tex Mex trail mix, iced green tea, assorted vitamins and painkillers on the side.
Even though last night was a washout as far as sleep goes, I did manage to get up around 8:30 am (I'd already been awake for a while) and after breakfast, I went out and watered/took pics to see how things are going. There's good news as well as mediocre.
The nasturtiums greeted me when I was on my way to the back yard.
I was very happy with how the nasturtiums are doing, overall. I know they're in a bad place for low light but they're making the most of it, giving it their all.
There's genuine flowers on the cubanelle peppers now!
I"m totally happy with the peppers! Even though I started them late and they didn't do well on the front step, they're chugging along, doing their best.
The beginning of a tiny pepper!!
And, we have peppers!!! I"m going to make sure that I water at least twice a week unless we get rain so the peppers keep growing at a consistent rate. I"m not really expecting too many.
And.... the best for last.....
We have a ZUKE!!!!!!!!!
All the rest of the flowers that are blooming are male and I only see maybe 2 more female flowers and they're not even near to being in bloom so..... I'm not expecting too much from this plant. Next year, I'll make a point of clearing enough ground for the sunflowers and some zucchini plants too. Already, the stem is getting bendy and loose and I'm afraid that it'll break once the plant starts really producing zukes. So, I might be bidding this zucchini an early farewell before too long. I don't want to but if it starts leaning too much to the point that the branches will break,, I'll take it out.
A mostly group shot. I'm going to take some of the leafy greens out for a salad to give room to the others so they can spread out. That'll give me the excuse to grab some nasturtium leaves to add to it. The oregano looks about ready for a partial harvest so I can make oregano oil too. One lone chamomile flower,
I'd hoped for dozens of tiny blooms to dry and make tea out of but this is depressing. There might be more but I doubt it.
