From the folks at Baddies is COPS Doughnuts, known for their mini doughnuts.

When they opened a location on Adelaide, between Spadina and Bathurst, it was on my list to visit but never did. However, they recently opened a location near my parents and well, no excuse to not drop by.

The Matilda Street location, near Queen and Broadview is tucked away on a small street. If you spot the pink building, then you found Cops.

We first visited the new location in April, but could not purchase any doughnuts because there was an issue with the fryer and was told to come back. With prominent social media activity, it would have been nice if they announced they were having issues at the Matilda location, but they did not and we did not come back because they said they were not sure when the issue would be fixed.

A month later, we revisited and fortunately no issues. Joel Weeks Park is across the street, which is convenient to walk or sit as you wait for your order since the doughnuts are made-to-order.

Trio (18 mixed mini doughnuts) - $13.50

We got the Trio, which includes their main flavours Cinnamon Sugar and OG Sour Cream Classic and a weekly special flavour (Carrot Cake at the time of our visit).

The mini doughnuts are good when fresh. They have a bit of a melt-in-your-mouth, almost crueller-like texture.

You can pre-order in advance, and check their social media for weekly flavour special.
