Our journey begins in the cold North of England and arrives via Paris in Canet Plage close to Perpignan, the Catalan heart of France. We are burgled on our first night, the weather is initially awful, we are depressed. But, then a wonderful small café in Perpignan changes everything. Read how the people of this beautiful, friendly region gives us the best of times and set us out to a lifelong love of France.
